Air Tahiti & Air Tahiti Nui Airlines are strengthening their partnership with a codeshare agreement
Papeete, December, 23 2025
The two Polynesian airlines, AIR TAHITI NUI (international carrier) and AIR TAHITI (inter-island carrier), are proud and pleased to announce the signing of a codeshare agreement, providing visitors to The Islands of Tahiti with additional travel options and greatly simplifying their travel planning process.
Bora Bora (French Polynesia) and Rarotonga (Cook Islands) accessible to all Air Tahiti Nui passengers
This agreement, signed on December 22, 2025, will take effect for reservations and trips starting June 2, 2026.
Air Tahiti Nui will thus be able to apply its TN code to selected flights operated by the domestic airline and provide visitors with a single ticket covering their international flight from destinations such as Europe or the United States to Bora Bora or Rarotonga.
This agreement will initially apply to two flight routes:
- Bora Bora with 6 daily flights, operated on an ATR72 aircraft
- Rarotonga with 2 flights per week, operated on an ATR72 aircraft
Air Tahiti Nui flights are exclusively operated on a fleet of Boeing 787-9 aircraft, known as Tahitian Dreamliners.
Air Tahiti inter-island flights are operated on ATR 72 (70 seats) and ATR 42 (48 seats) aircraft, currently in economy or premium class. From December 2026, an “all business” option will also be available.
A significant milestone for travel to The Islands of Tahiti
For the CEOs of both companies, “these agreements mark a new step in the close commercial cooperation between Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti, initiated several years ago.”
"By connecting our networks, we will offer our customers a more seamless experience with a single ticket to their final destination. This is a crucial first step in strengthening our joint offering with Air Tahiti, which we intend to expand with new routes soon. We look forward to offering this to our customers to further enhance the quality of our service," said Philippe Marie, CEO of Air Tahiti Nui, the international airline.
“We are proud to see Air Tahiti flights operated under a codeshare agreement with Air Tahiti Nui. This new partnership between Air Tahiti and Air Tahiti Nui reinforces the strong and natural ties that unite our two airlines,” said Edouard Wong Fat, CEO of Air Tahiti, the inter-island airline.
About Air Tahiti
Air Tahiti is the leading inter-island airline in French Polynesia, based at Tahiti-Faa’a International Airport, since 65 years.
Deeply connected to its Polynesian roots and resolutely focused on the future, Air Tahiti offers you a unique travel experience and an unforgettable Polynesian welcome. Air Tahiti embodies te natiraa o te mau motu, the essential connection between the islands of French Polynesia and between people, both locally and around the world.
Air Tahiti is a private Polynesian company providing public service across the five archipelagos of The Islands of Tahiti. Its network has gradually expanded to serve a growing number of islands. Today, its fleet of ETOPS-qualified ATR aircraft connects more than 90% of the country's inhabited islands. Air Tahiti's network covers 48 islands in French Polynesia spread over a territory as vast as Europe or North America, with an international destination, Rarotonga, in the Cook Islands. The distance between the islands can vary from 15 km (Tahiti-Moorea) to 1,600 km (Tahiti-Mangareva, in the Gambier Islands), the equivalent of a flight from Paris to Stockholm or New York to Miami. To provide this service, Air Tahiti operates a state-of-the-art fleet of 10 ATR 72-600 and 2 ATR 42-600. The airline regularly renews its aircraft to maintain the latest standards in comfort, performance, and safety. Since 2017, Air Tahiti has been the first airline in the world to adorn its aircraft with Polynesian patterns inspired by traditional tattoos, thus affirming its strong cultural identity. It is also actively involved in local social and environmental initiatives. With more than 1,600 employees in The Islands of Tahiti, Air Tahiti is now the largest private employer in French Polynesia.
